Visitors to Howletts Wild Animal Park can witness world-leading conservation in action this year – all day, every day.

Howletts Wild Animal Park, Kent’s most successful and multi award-winning animal park, offers visitors the chance to experience real conservation.

Howletts is a breeding sanctuary for some of the most rare and endangered species in the world, with over 300 animals across 47 individual species, plus plenty of new births and arrivals. See real animals, real close and be part of real conservation in action!

Home to the world’s largest collection of critically endangered western lowland gorillas and the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, Howletts offers visitors the chance to get up close to Amur tigers, leopards, lions and wolves in their glass fronted enclosures, and walk with lemurs as the Madagascan favourites explore the branches overhead. Discover and enjoy the prehistoric wonders of the Animals of The Ice Age through our woodland walk.

Set in 90 acres of historic parkland, there are wooded walkways and pathways to explore and fun, fact filled animal talks taking place at various times throughout the year, so there’s plenty for visitors of all ages to discover and enjoy.

One of the county’s most popular visitor attractions, Howletts has conservation at its heart. Your admission fee helps fund the park’s vital work with endangered species and enables the park to return animals to protected areas of the wild, in conjunction with The Aspinall Foundation.

Visitors can take advantage of special events at Howletts, including fun activities, special animal enrichment and other events, all included in the price of the ticket at no extra cost! Visitors can also make the day extra special by booking additional activities, including talks by our expert animal teams, animal encounters and photography days.
